Bengaluru | India: A potentially dangerous situation has emerged near the Varthur Police Station Bus Stop, where a large open electrical connection box (current pole connection) has been left exposed to the public. The uncovered box, located in a high-footfall area, poses a serious risk of electric shock, particularly during the rainy season when waterlogging increases the chances of electrocution. Local residents and commuters have expressed alarm and are urging the concerned authorities to take immediate corrective action. They emphasize that the issue, if ignored, could lead to a major accident. The matter has been brought to the attention of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and BESCOM, who are being urged to address the situation on priority and ensure the safety of the public. Citizens have also shared photographic evidence of the open connection box as part of their appeal, hoping swift action will prevent any untoward incident.
