Guwahati, Assam — In a dramatic development in the death case of renowned singer Zubeen Garg, the Assam Special Investigation Team (SIT) has filed a 3,500-page chargesheet naming four accused on murder charges, marking the most significant breakthrough since the singer’s mysterious death in Singapore on September 19, 2025. Alongside the murder charges, the SIT has also booked Garg’s cousin, Sandipan Garg, a suspended Assam Police officer, for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, citing attempts to “suppress vital evidence” during the initial phase of the probe.
