Diplomatic Detonation: Trump Reignites Controversy Over India-Pakistan War Intervention

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again ignited controversy, dramatically repeating his claim that he prevented a nuclear war between India and Pakistan in 2025. He said that the potential nuclear war between India and Pakistan in May 2025 would have been the largest and most dangerous conflict of its kind in modern history. He said he warned both the countries. He said that if the conflict did not stop immediately, he would impose 200% tariffs on goods from both countries. After 11 jets were shot down, both nations agreed to stop fighting. This makes the situation more intense and dramatic. Trump is basically saying, he stopped a nuclear disaster and saved millions of lives. But, there was something else going on behind this. India officially denied Trump’s claim and pointed out that the ceasefire was bilateral and this was kept between India and Pakistan only. No third party intervention and the US did not save the situation. However, on the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif thanked Trump before. Trump’s statements are believed by Pakistanis and even they nominated him for “Nobel Peace Prize”. Again, several controversial claims were reiterated by US President Donald Trump while an inaugural meeting was organised of his Board of Peace in Washington D.C., on February 19, 2026.
