Three Pakistani-based terrorists are being encountered by joint security forces. This encounter was done on February 22nd, 2026 in the Chatroo forest area of Kishtwar District, Jammu and Kashmir. This operation was a part of the 326-day-long "Operation Trashi-I". Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully carried out this important mission. Specific information was there to the forces that terrorists are hiding in a mud house which was located in the forest area, a hillside. A co-ordinated operation based on this information, was launched by security personnel. Many drones were used to keep an eye on the area from air and the forces cordoned off the ground area. The ideal location where terrorists were located was identified with the help of "Tyson" (Army Dog). While fighting started between terrorists and forces, Tyson was shot and got injured. Also, a Senior Commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Saifullah Baloch was killed during this operation. He was involved in several terror-related activities in the area. Currently, further searches are ongoing in this area to guarantee no other militants were present.
