Viksit Bharat From “Work Guarantee” to “Work + Wealth Creation”: A Silent Rural Revolution Begins

The Government of India did something very quietly bigger than a general routing meeting on February 25, 2026. India is currently focusing on Viksit Bharat and based on this a three day orientation has been conducted today. This new orientation is for Viksit Bharat guarantee for Rojgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM-G). This was not only a simple training rather than it was a formal transition from Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act to a statutory framework here statutory framework means a law based structure which is binding and compulsory. The program was organised by the Ministry of the Rural Department. Here, 30 officials from various 15 states that include Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand were gathered not just to listen but also to recalibrate how rural India will function until 2047. This program with nest as a policy engineering means a redesigning of how government systems will operate further. Hence, using this program rural India stands between legacy welfare and aspiration infrastructure led by employment.
