Punjab Power Relief: Households to Save Up to ₹1.50 Per Unit from April

Punjab witnessed recent significant reduction in electricity tariff across domestic commercial and industrial categories for 2026 to 2027 fiscal year. This will be effective from April 1 20 26 by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission. Domestic customers will see rates up to Rupees 1.50 per unit while commercial and industrial users will benefit from cuts up to 79 paise and 74 paise per unit respectively. Even after this the tariff for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations has been reduced to Rupees 5.00 / kVAh marking as one of the lowest rates in the country to push for green mobility.
