Strait of Hormuz Attack

India has strongly condemned an attack on the Mayuree Naree, a Thai-flagged cargo ship traveling to Gujarat's Kandla Port, which was struck by projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz on March 11, 2026. This situation was officially deplored by the Ministry of External Affairs. It highlights the growing threats to commercial shipping and the violation of freedom of investigation in the region. The Omani Navy successfully rescued 20 crew members but the attack has increased concerns related to maritime security and the safety of the Indian interests.
